Our flat roof in our kitchen needs to be replaced. We want to add a window to the roof as it is a really dark room. I know the existing roof needs to be made stronger to take a window and that we need building regs.
What is the simplest way to go about this? Do we have to get a structural engineer to draw up plans for building regs and then get a builder in or is there a company that will sort building regs and install?
Any experiences gratefully received.
Also is a curved non opening roof window ok or should we go for one that can open?
