Hanging a frameless mirror

I've recently removed a mirror that was stuck on to a wardrobe door. I now want to attach it to the other side of the door. It's frameless, and slightly odd shape at the top so I can't easily frame it.

It's about 150cm tall and reasonably heavy. I've tried no nails glue but it just slides off when I let go. I'm wondering if I need to clamp it somehow whilst the glue dries?? I have sanded down the door, made sure both surfaces are clean etc but it just won't hold.

It was originally attached by those white, foam sticky pads that are about 2in by 2in
I can't seem to find them in any shops, are they even a thing anymore?? The ones on Amazon have pretty bad reviews.

Any suggestions?

You can buy specific mirror glue. But I imagine you would need a clamp to hold it in place for awhile until the glue dries
