What tradesperson do I need

In the process of buying a fixer upper and trying to get quotes for work that needs doing.

The house has 2 internal archways that are not brick wall (not sure of the correct word, plasterboard walls or stud walls?) that I would like squaring off at the top to make into a proper doorway.

My question is what tradesperson do I need? A plasterer or a builder?

Thank you.

I’d start with a plasterer. A builder is more likely to do a crap plaster job so if a plasterer can do the cutting and making good then you’re on a winner. Otherwise it’d be a builder to cut out the studs, reboard and make good. I usually find obscure tradesmen on the local Facebook mums groups.

Thanks for replying. It's all new to me and I couldn't get an answer from google. Busy looking for local plasterers now!
