Radiator and lights for kitchen diner

We are knocking through our kitchen and dining room to have one big space. Attached picture will be the new layout. The plan is finalised so please don't say we have missed anything / got it wrong Hmm The last 2 things we need to decide on are radiator placement and lighting.

  1. Radiator - I would like one of the tall slim ones where the X is i.e. between the breakfast bar and the new window. Space is 60cm wide. When the builder first came out he thought we wouldn't have enough space there for a radiator powerful enough to heat the whole space (21m sq). Other option is a slim one alongside the patio doors but I don't think this would heat the whole space? Underfloor heating is not an option. Or just go with a traditional style long one under the new window (but I think this limits our options down the line for putting a sofa etc against that wall). Thoughts / experience on this would be gratefully received!
  1. Lighting - the current plan is spotlights across the whole area (on 2 different circuits so we can have one / other / both on). Then some kind of feature lighting above the breakfast bar. Will this work ok?
For the breakfast bar light I like this www.dunelm.com/product/london-bronze-3-light-fitting-1000093390 but then I saw this shadow that the single one makes on the ceiling which has put me off! (Pics on first review here www.dunelm.com/product/london-bronze-ceiling-fitting-1000119936?defaultSkuId=30571883). Ideally would like something that is around the £100 mark but willing to go more expensive if something "wows" us! Any suggestions or anything to avoid?

Thanks!

I have a 27 sq metre kitchen diner I am just about to decorate .

I think that equates to around 10k btu which I struggled with.

I ended up ordering a 7.5k ish but tall one from screwfix I think it was about 48cm wide.

At the moment the room only has a teeny one (maybe 5k) and I don't get particularly cold in there.

Why not have one either side of the window, not just in the middle? Then you'd be able to achieve the slimness of it too.
