Tiles Vs wood floor family room ufh

Hello

We are building an L shaped kitchen diner extension with wet UFH. Original plan was 1cm tiles same pattern inside and outside onto patio. With flush threshold and sliding doors.
However I'm being talked out of outside tiles and probably will put down sandstone pacing instead.
I have a 1 and 3 yo and we play on the floor all the time. Am I going to regret a hard tiled floor? I like wood floors but wondering about durability in a kitchen area. And have friends who have them and who are always stressing at the kids in case they scratch them.
Have decided against karndean type floors.

Tiles, my brother did wood and it was never warm enough, we did tiles and its great.
Make use the water pipe is curled quite close to its self, and go right up to the walls of the room otherwise you will get cold spots

A neighbour recently put in wood effect tiles - looks and feel like wood but is actually a tile. Example here: www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/wood-effect-tiles?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIpb-Gk5Kr5wIVzLHtCh3xxgJNEAAYASAAEgKLIPD_BwE
