Any tips for keeping patient while you wait?!

We’re moving later in the year. For various reasons we’re not quite ready...so not even on the market as yet. I don’t like where we live now (house and location are both all wrong) so I really want to get on with it but work makes that impossible just yet.

Any tips for staying patient in the meantime? I must spend about 12 hours a day on Rightmove and I’m driving myself crackers going round in circles with ifs and buts.

Anyone got any tips to keep me sane?!

None. We desperately wanted to market ours in spring last year (also for area reasons mainly) but hadn’t quite finished tarting it up yet. It took us until the start of November before we were ready to market, at which point the agent advised us to go for a Boxing Day launch.

It has worked out for us as we sold almost instantly and are now in the next stage, but I do feel like I’ve been super stressed over this for almost a year. We also found The House back in October before we were on the market which caused me SO much stress worrying about it selling! Could you do anything to market sooner? You’ll drive yourself mad.

We’ve already brought it forward as far as we can - although I will talk to DH again. But we really need to do some tarting up, too.

It’s all very unsettling because we’ll be moving quite some way into another area. I just want to get on with it!
