Builder noise

I've moved into a new build rental. They are still building a separate new build block next door. The builders have regularly been reversing lorries (that make that loud beeping noise), shouting and using drills/electric saws before 8am on weekdays and on Sundays.

Last Sunday, they used a megaphone at 7.30am! I can hear all of this through double glazed windows on the third floor.

I took it up with the building manager and he said he's speaking their site manager last week.

They're at it again (11.45am on a Sunday).

AIBU or should I complain again? It doesn't sound like any other residents have complained?

Ask for a copy of their planning consent. There will be times they are allowed to work. Majority allow work from 8 til 13 on saturday and none on sunday

my planning conditions said 8 to 6 on week days, 9 to 2 on Saturdays and not at all on Sundays or Bank Holidays.

It's difficult because councils aren't at work outside these times so can't really be enforced.

If you record it on your phone and let the council know they may or may not do anything. I enforced my builders as they would have started earlier and finished later on Saturdays if I let them which I didn't think was fair on my neighbours.

Thank you. It's not even a small building project (like a house extension), it's a huge 4 floor apartment block with a lot of builders. I thought Sundays were always off limits. I also thought about complaining to the council but the form is ridiculously detailed.

Recording on a phone is a very good idea though.
