Creating storage/workspace in the attic (basic diagram)

My wonderful builder has managed to find a place to put a staircase into my attic - I am amazed

But I can't afford to do it all at once

So this time I can either have section 1 boarded and the roof insulated/plasterboarded or I can have a second section boarded

I can't decide which I should do

Plus if I go for a second section - should it be section 2 which DH & I did a sort of floor on last year with those little legs or should we leave that alone and do section 3 (so 1 & 3 would be good with 2 for bots of storage between them

Does that make sense? What should we do?

I am leaning towards getting the first section completely done - then anything I stick in the eaves can stay there permanently otherwise I'll have to pull them out again to put the extra insulation/plasterboard in the roof

I’d go for one section and insulation

Thanks @missanony
Any reason why?
