We're looking at a gorgeous bluebell in the sofa.com sales - and one option that's got a good reduction is the linen-viscous mix - we really liked it in terms of look and feel, but I'm nervous it'll crumple/age badly: I'm not keen on a very lived in look... The guy in the shop did say it can get a little shiny and we have teens with some serious netflix sofa use which is making me twitchy... ;-) Any thoughts on the linen-viscous, sofa.com materials, or how best to assess this ....? Thanks in advance!

I'd say if the advisor is already admitting it may get a bit shiny then that's exactly what'll happen.

How would it look like with a throw so your teen's blue jeans never make direct contact with the cushions. That's what I'd do if it was mine.

Yes, that was rather my thought too, and we did initially discount it because of that ... but it's a gorgeous material, and when we questioned it he seemed to backtrack a little, hence wondering if anyone had RL experience....

And yes, a throw is certainly a feasible option: but my two tend to bury themselves under throws ;-)
