Could someone please try and describe the smell of a dead rodent? If there was a dead rodent in a wall cavity would the smell seep through into the room? Thanks in advance!

Sweet, sickly & cloying. Like any very off meat & yes it can fill a large space with the sickening smell

I find it a bit fishy as well. We caught a tiny mouse in a snap trap, forgot to check them as it was in the garage and the whole double garage space absolutely stank.

Sweet and well just rotting. I’m no expert on walls but if you have cracks / gaps in mortar then smell could certainly seep through.

Good luck

We had a dead rodent beneath the floorboards and ar first the smell was like a bin, then it gradually got worse. It was foul and unmistakably the stench of rotten meat. We couldn’t get to the source of the smell so it lasted for weeks.

Death and sewage. So so unpleasant.

And yes it definitely seeps through walls.
