How long?

I’ve agreed a price for having my entire house painted inside, 2 coats on every surface. The decorator said he’d take 2 1/2 days per room. He’s
part way through and, at this rate, it will take more than 3 weeks. He only works 9 to 1 most days.
The house is a 2 Up-2-Down plus bathroom extension, very old so needing lots of preparation.
Is this reasonable?

Have you agreed a daily rate or price for the job?
My husband is a painter and normally works 8-5. He said it should probably take about 12 days but that's just a guess without seeing the rooms.

If he only does half days, then he’ll need a week to do 2.5 days’ worth.

Maybe have a chat with him to get a move on a bit.
