Just wondering if anyone has succesis fully had fees for their Sainsburys mortgage waived? They are not providing new mortgages and yet to tell customers what will happen with current mortgages.

DP and I are moving and have remortgaged to Santander. Wondering if there’s a way we can avoid the exit fee because Sainsburys are not doing mortgages anymore. We are meant to have 8 months left.

Unlikely i reckon.

Nope. They're not negotiable - the contract you signed when you took their money said there would be fees if you left them early.

Hi all, update on my original question.

Sainsbury’s waived the £2,000 fee for us as they still don’t know who they are transferring things to. Worth calling them if you’re in our position!
