Hi all, my partner and I are considering a move to either of these areas as we both work in a town very close to these two areas. Currently live about 35 mins commute from work and we’re keen to buy together and have a shorter commute. House prices are very reasonable in Hinckley/Burbage from what we’ve seen and we hear from colleagues that Hinckley has been developed recently. Partner is from south Warwickshire so is used to town life, I’m from Birmingham and lived in Solihull previously so am used to being very very close to a big city.
I know Hinckley/Burbage is near to cities but things like nights out or going to a city in the evening for example would require a train journey (last trains are around 11pm /overnight stay rather than a 15 min taxi etc. Solihull would be my choice as I loved living there but the two main significant cons when we did a comparison was far more expensive and still a 40/45 minute commute even though the area has everything I’d be looking for. I do like the idea of Hinckley/Burbage but looking for opinions/advice on what it’s like to live there, schools, bars/pubs and specific parts of them to look to buy? Thanks
