Does anyone have electric heating systems? Thinking about putting it into our property but dont know how expensive it would be to run and how efficient it would be. Look forward to any feed back. Thanks!

Electric heating systems are 100% efficient in the sense that whatever brand you buy, cheap or expensivem they all turn 1kwh of e3lectricity energy into 1kwh of heat energy.

However energy from electricity is expensive. Do you have no gas supply?

I currently pay
13.369p per kWh of electricity
2.973p per kWh of gas
which I believe is fairly typical
(plus standing charge plus 5% VAT)

So energy from electricity costs me four and a half times as much as energy from gas.

People (predominantly those in rented homes) who are stuck with electrical heating are usually appalled by the running cost, and usually vow never to have electrical heating again.

The are some sales and marketing schemes which attempt to make you think that an expensive heater can produce 1kWh of heat with less than 1kWh of electricity. It is not true.

They will try to baffle you with talk of high-tech design, or Italian alumium, or German quality. None of that makes the slightest difference.
