Relocating to Newcastle- advice

Hello everyone!
Hoping for some advice as to whether Newcastle is a good area to relocate to for young families and if so which areas are best/safest to live in.
I will hopefully be studying at the university and my husband would be looking for graduate work, are there lots of job opportunities around the area?
we have a two year old so would need somewhere with good nurseries, we are very tempted to move near the coast.
Any advice is much appreciated! :)

Hi there @Lavihen - we've moved this over to a different topic for you and hopefully you'll get some useful advice here.

Best of luck with your move - Newcastle is a fab city imo (former Newcastle uni student here although that was very many moons ago) Smile

I think it’s a great city! I studied there so I now have lots of friends - and some family - so I visit often. I would live in Gosforth / South Gosforth / near to the metro

Gosforth or Jesmond are great places to live and raise a family.
