Moving to Liverpool...advice please!

I'm moving to Liverpool in February and will be looking to rent a room. I'd like to be as central as possible but also need parking. My new job is in Aigburth so needs to be close to there as I have v.early starts. Any advice re. nice areas / areas to avoid are most welcome; thanks! Smile

Aigburth is a nice area. Probably better to stay in L17 than closer to L8. Other areas commutable within 10 minutes would be Allerton or Wavertree (the nice end of Wavertree by Blue coat school and Penny Lane) Avoid Toxteth and Dingle as theyre close to Aigburth but not as nice

Oo I'm so jealous. If love to move to Liverpool. My friend lives In Cressington. Aigbirth his also move and handy for the train.
