Can anyone advise on the best paint for painting floorboards please?

My decorator recommends Sadolin Super Dec Watching with interest

Are you sure you want to do this OP? We have sanded and waxed floor boards and they look fabulous.

Little Greene Floor Paint for painting. Osmo hard wax oil for treating bare wood.

I sanded and varnished the floor boards. They looked fab for a few years, but it’s noisy. I am putting carpets down, last night my phone fell of the bed and woke the whole house.

F&B Floor Paint.

Or the Johnstone's copy.

Both are v good.

Thank you all very much for your suggestions. I thought of painting rather than sanding and waxing for practical reasons as we are still sleeping on the floor at moment waiting for furniture, and as it is a small property I was concerned about all the dust sanding would make.
The floorboards are a dark orangey colour so thought painting them in a light colour would look nice and also make a small living room look more spacious.
Does anyone know typically how long floor paint takes to dry?

You still need to sand them! I'd say you'll need at least 2 coats with 12 hours between each coat, plus a day to dry enough to walk on.
