Is it too small for a bedroom? Currently having plans drawn up to extend and we need to create a corridor into the extension which means taking some of one of the existing bedrooms....either that or extend further and move the bathroom a bit. Taking some from the bedroom is obviously cheaper but I don’t want to be left with a box room. Thanks

I would say that will leave you with a box room. 2m is very narrow. However you could still fit in a single bed.

I would try to make it slightly larger than 2m to comfortably fit a single bed in. We had a 2m room and although we could fit a bed in technically there was no room to build the bed in terms of getting bolts in etc. Plus skirting board etc.

that's definitely a box room. it's perfectly functional as a bedroom but definitely cramped

We have a 2m by 3m as our smallest and it really is just a bed room not a space to do anything else. We have a double mattress only in there but you could do a single with drawers and a desk at a push.
