Can a basic combi boiler have a thermostat added?

Boiler was fitted 6 years ago. It has a contigo panel to set the time it comes on and off. But it would be useful to have a thermostat added. As it's either on or off. Can one be added?

We bought a nest for ours which allows us to control the environmental temperature in a way without actually adding a thermostat. It was the cheaper option iirc.

I had one fitted to a basic boiler a couple of years ago with a wireless digital thermostat.

We had a wireless thermostat attached - seemed a pretty simple job for the electrician.

Yes of course, in fact building regulations have required I've for decades. Although that doesn't stop some people forgetting, we didn't by have one when we bought the house either.
