Found out our washing machine is one thats been recalled. I know its plugged in at the back but the main switch to turn it on is with the fridge switch etc
When it's off I take it washing machine is safe as dont fancy pulling out plug then deciding we need to do a cool water wash
I'm a wreck with worry just now
Im sure as it's off at the main switch it will be ok

If it's been recalled you should not use it at all but return it to where you got it from.

Only reason I've not pulled the plug out as it's at the back of washing machine my man is at work nightshift so I couldnt exactly pull the washing machine out to reach the plug so by it being completely switched off at the main switch on the wall will that still be ok till we get new one if we decide on get a brand new different washing machine

Put an extension lead on it so you can plug in/out from the extension lead.

However, I believe that Hotpoint recommend that you don't use them until they have been fixed.

But surely if it's off at the main switch it will be ok if its not being switched on and used
