Window sills - UPVC or hardwood

Due to a mix up at the installer’s end I’ve ended up with UPVC window sills instead of hardwood ones. Nothing is paid for yet and I’m covered but..... pros and cons? I’ll likely get them to change it to hardwood, but I’d be lying if I said a hefty reduction in cost wouldn’t be a blessing too. Hmm.

Hardwood would look much nicer. You could also repaint it or do whatever else. The advantage of UPVC is the lower price.
