Any ideas?? Something is very bizarre but not sure what - strangely messy, and the kitchen photo is a bit WTF

Doesn't look like anyone is living there. The photo's look like they've been taken mid packing and on a phone or crap camera. Very odd but lovely from the outside.

Finfintytint · 14/12/2019 17:49

I’ve seen nicer crime scene photos.
Seems like they’re moving out anyway and are in a hurry to market it and are complacent that it will sell without any effort.

JoJoSM2 · 14/12/2019 17:53

They look like rubbish camera phone photos. Maybe the agent went to value and is posting without permission? Hence no floorplans either.

Motorbike311 · 14/12/2019 18:06

One of two options

Owner was disabled - in add (Recently refurbished for owner occupier needs.)

Its a repossession, owner had to leave quickly and bank now have ownership

wellthatwasthat · 14/12/2019 18:16

Took one look at the first photo and immediately thought: it's haunted.

BlouseAndSkirt · 14/12/2019 18:22

Been enter out to multi occupancy tenants? Some have gone, others not quite, no one has cleared up.

Terrible photos.

Could be a really nice house, garden could be transformed and beautiful!

wowfudge · 14/12/2019 19:32

The blurb states it's been recently refurbished for owner occupier so I suspect the photos were taken before that.

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 14/12/2019 20:20

It looks like an overcrowded rental. Great potential though.

SittingAround1 · 14/12/2019 20:26

Maybe it was sublet. It looks like a whole family was living in the big bedroom with two double beds and a cot.
The photos are rubbish.

JoJoSM2 · 14/12/2019 20:31

I suppose subletting to lots of people would also explain the poor state of the garden and the weeds at the front.

Jiggles101 · 14/12/2019 20:38

I don't like the outside or the style and unless it's in a v posh area of Croydon can't believe it could really be worth almost a mil!

TotheletterofthelawTHELETTER · 14/12/2019 20:42

I’d be sacking my estate agent if I was the seller of this

makingmiracles · 14/12/2019 20:43

I know London/Surrey are expensive but that takes the biscuit trying to market the house looking like that! Almost a million quid!! Shocking!

PickAChew · 14/12/2019 20:44

Does look like an ex HMO. It could be bloody lovely with some tlc.

CactusAndCacti · 14/12/2019 20:47

I'm thinking some sort of sub-let too, the refurbished comment is a bit strange as well.

Tiredandgrumpytonight · 14/12/2019 20:51

Quick sale needed

LazyFace · 14/12/2019 21:04

It was once a nice house now used as an HMO.
Haunted... my arse...

Expressedways · 14/12/2019 21:09

Sublet/HMO where the many, many occupants have disappeared following a spate of supernatural occurrences never to be heard from again.

The bathrooms do look modern, I guess that might pass for refurbished in estate agent lingo.

Orchardgreen · 15/12/2019 06:39

There’s something very odd about the agents, if you look at their website.

wowfudge · 15/12/2019 06:45

What's that then @Orchardgreen?

Veronicat · 15/12/2019 06:48

Dodgy by the looks of it.

Orchardgreen · 15/12/2019 06:54

Yes, I found that review site. I assume the 5* reviews are written by staff, as they have not been verified.

So I wonder if the agents own the property themselves?

On Companies House they’ve changed names a couple of times.

Veronicat · 15/12/2019 10:28

I had a landlord like that in London 30 years ago.I was ever so glad to get out of the house

UnfamousPoster · 17/12/2019 14:49

The other properties listed by them have similarly dodgy photos, including on one of a traffic jam outside the property. Lovely!

Clearly badly taken phone camera pictures. First time I've seen an actual person in them too (photo 2).

I think the owners must have got a buy two get one free deal on those beds too! At least it shows the bedroom is large!

Overall the estate agents clearly don't look very professional and the reviews match up with that too. Totally out of their depth I would say!
