I live in a 1930s semi. I want some white venetian blinds, probably 50mm slats, for the bay window in our lounge and the window in the adjacent room, which is a home office (converted from a garage, so relatively modern).
In our previous house we had alumininum venetians, chosen because it was a dark room and I wanted to maximise the light coming in. They were lovely, so I was planning to do the same again, but I've got a nagging feeling that wooden blinds are more stylish, yes? I've searched all the venetian blind threads here on Mumsnet and they all seem to be about wooden blinds. Many houses around here have wooden shutters - I've rejected that idea for various reasons but perhaps the wooden venetians will be the best alternative!
