IVF Anxiety and Kitchen Woes

I'm very new to Mumsnet and a nurse recommended reaching out to see if there were other women who would be willing to share their IVF experiences. I have to have my second laparoscopy and hysteroscopy operations in 2 years and I'm truly nervous about the whole thing already! Due to a 2nd obstructing thyroid, I have to have the operation again. Has anyone been through this and did it help IVF?

I've also taken on the challenge of renovating my kitchen in my new home in South London, we currently have a 1970's theme kitchen, that is far from functional and we are new to the area, and hope there is someone who could recommend a company/builder they used and trusted. I have spoken to a few mybuilders and their first impressions, have filled me with dread - with one visiting my property drunk!

Any help would be greatly appreciated! xx

The first bit of the post could go into the Infertility section.

With regards to the kitchen, have you asked around neighbours? They might be able to recommend whoever they have used. If you happen to be around Sutton, there’s an independent kitchen shop next to Magner on the high street + two more in Cheam Village. As far as I know they all can do things like replastering or electrics and other building work on top refitting the kitchen.

Thank you so much JojoSM2, I'm finding it hard to understand the mumsnet website but will try and move the post to the section you mentioned.

Re kitchen most of the neighbours rent their properties so unfortunately can't make suggestions but thank you for your helpful suggestion, we will have a look.

Hi OP, just in case you haven’t come across the infertility board yet, it’s here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/infertility

Good luck with your procedures 🤞

I would also rename this (or start a new post and request this one to be deleted) entitled something like South London kitchen recommendations needed - some people won't come on 'kitchen woes' as will just expect someone ranting. I completely echo PP re the first bit of your post needs to be a wholly separate post within infertility.

Thank you so much everyone, I will edit shortly and look at the fertility section!

Hi op, welcome to Mumsnet. I had a bit of a bumpy ride with having my kids and also renovating this place helps. Lots of us here for support.
