Kitchen refit

My kitchen currently has an eye level double oven and integrated under counter fridge and freezer. I am looking to replace the latter with cupboards, change the eye level oven to an under counter, and in its place have an tall fridge freezer.

My question is, would this be a difficult and expensive job?

Doesn't have to be if you can still a hold of units to match your original kitchen. The layout will affect how easy it is.

Best case scenario:

If your hob is currently on top of a 600mm set of drawers (or base unit) then you can directly switch that unit out to a 600mm Oven Housing (if you're changing to a single oven) or a Built Under Double Oven (No housing required, not the same as an Eye Level Double Oven).

You could re-use that drawer/base unit in place of the integrated under counter fridge, and buy a second 600mm Base/Drawer unit to replace the integrated under counter freezer.

You may even be able to re-use the 600mm doors from the integrated fridge/freezers, though you may have to route out new 35mm hinge holes.

If you're integrating your tall fridge/freezer then you would need to buy a housing for it; they're the same size as tall oven housings so that would easily switch out.

Worst case scenario is if your hob is on top of a unit larger than 600mm; in that situation you'll likely have to redesign your kitchen and may have to replace additional items.

I do believe (though haven't researched) that my kitchen is still available to buy.

All your suggestions would work, you've made it seem relatively easy, which is what I wanted to hear, so thank you very much indeedSmile
