Secondary glazing

Please can you recommend a secondary glazing supplier who can fit windows in central London. Are there any differences in quality and price, in your experience, between the big national suppliers and smaller, more local ones? Are there different types of glazing and which are most efficient? Are there any pitfalls to avoid?

Any advice greatly welcomed!

I doubt there could be much difference. It’s efficient but doesn’t look great and I doubt there’s much you can do to make it better as it’s just simple panes added to the existing windows.

Thanks Jo. What material were the frames which you had?

We had secodary glazing that we took out in a previous house. I think the frames were timber. The secodary glazing worked well for insulation and sound proofing but blocked some light and didn’t look attractive.
