Should shower tray be sealed to the floor tiles?

We've recently had new floor tiles and a new shower tray put in our bathroom. We've just noticed there is no sealant between the shower tray and the floor tiles, so water can get under the tray. Is this normal / ok? Or should I raise this with the fitter?

yes. The gap between the tray and tiles should be sealed in my opinion.

Yes it should be sealed. Ours wasn't and leaked into our dining room ceiling so we sealed it ourselves and the leak stopped
