Hi just more of what would you do please? We got a nice house I love it, I've been left some money, been a very hard sad time. I'm in two minds what to do, we always said we would have an extension then I feel our home would be completely perfect for us and that would be it. But on the other hand I think i should save the money, invest it and save for my kids, or put it into our business, there is no rush to do anything.
But would u add the extension have the perfect home and then carry on? It wouldn't take it all, but it would take anyway any safely net for the future, but then my babies would have a lovely home and I can work and save to put away for them ugh???, i know it s nice problem to have but it's been a awful year and just distracting myself.

Do it, you'd get so much enjoyment out of it and you can always save more in the future. Especially if times have been hard, you deserve to do something for yourself

I'd do the extension - it will add value to your property and your standard of living.

What sort of area do you live it? How much value would the extension add to the property?

I’d say do the extension if it’s financially sound or invest for the children. Putting money into the business is more risky.

Thanks for the replies, we're south east, not sure how much it would add, want to use the new space as a lounge which goes into a play room, and then our current open plan kitchen and lounge will be made in to a big kitchen and there will be some actual space left over. Our business is attached to the house we own the land and its all operates from here so we I think we're here forever really. So I can see his pros of were here let's have the house we want, and then I'm just abit hesitant as once it's Gone it's gone!

I spent money on an extension in a similar situation. You’re probably feeling a bit guilty about spending the money on something nice because you received it under sad circumstances. You really shouldn’t feel bad, it is one of the most sensible things to spend your money on and it will enhance your family’s life every day and will probably add value to your property in the long run. Go for it Flowers
