Door Quote- thoughts?

Hi,

I was wondering what people thought of this quote to supply and fit three external doors. It would be for two composite doors and one upvc door to go at the back of the house. I've been quoted £2.6k plus VAT. Does this seem ok?

Thanks in advance.

Depends on door quality. I paid £800 per composite door and £150 fitting. They are good quality doors but came from a large building merchants

Hi,

Thanks for replying. This would be for solidor composites.

For decent quality £1k per external door is not unusual.

Going to revive this thread. Just had another quote for two composite doors, one upvc door and a triangular window to be cladded over for £5. Seems very steep?!

Have a look at local companies who make their own products (we did our double glazing this way) that way you are cutting out the middle man.

Also have a look at composite doors online plus double glazed so you can see the price of the door and then work out the cost of the fitting price on top from your quotes.

When we were considering changing our front door we were looking at £800 - £1k for a composite. But as we were splurging for all the double glazing, sofits and facias we kept our original front door.

I paid £1100 for one upvc door so that's not too bad.
