We have decided to extend our existing single story extension and whilst we've had a few quotes from supposedly reputable builders and extension specialist when we've looked at their credentials on line not all is as it seems - one was not VAT registered even though the quote they gave us had VAT included and another provided insurance certificates that were 2 years out of date! I'm turning to MN in the hope that someone can recommend a firm that does what they claim and doesn't cost the earth - we are in north London but I know some firms will travel so your suggestions are appreciated
