Just has a building survey done on a 1870 house we have started buying process.
Sadly it transpires the roof needs sorting or replacing. It’s a tiled roof. Any ideas on costs anyone that’s had similar recently. I’d say it’s the size of a normal 4 bed detached house

I will get builders in to quote but to start me off am I looking 30k or 50k or worse!!

It’s in the south east. Herts.

Our complete roof replacement including a large steel beam, all joists, insulation, slates, guttering etc cost 40k, 10 years ago. It is a big, quite complicated roof.

It's a big semidetached. And scaffolding costs a lot round here.

London Borough of Sutton - 4 bed semi retiled 2017 cost £11k
