Neff Hide & Slide

Desperate for help as I am so confused. I need a bank of 3 built in ovens for my new kitchen. I definitely want Neff Hide & Slide but don't know the differences between Full Steam and Variosteam. I've been to a demo but am still non the wiser!

In an ideal world I am told I would have a Full Steam, a Variosteam and a Microwave with warming drawer but the cost is enormous and there are only 3 of us in the family.

What can a Full Steam oven do that a Variosteam can't and vice versa? Am I better to choose just one of these ovens or do I need both for different functions? I'm thinking maybe one of these only and then just a normal oven to keep costs down or will I regret not getting both?

I would be so grateful for any help.

I couldn't work this out either. I've ended up with two Siemens ovens, one of which has a microwave function (but is also a fully functional oven) and one normal oven. No steam functions at all. There are 3 of us and I cook and bake a fair bit. Can't say I miss the steam functions, given that I couldn't work out what they did!

I have the full steam and a combi oven/microwave with the warming drawer underneath. So far they are excellent ovens. I've only used the steam with meat though and I'm sure you could easily live without it. Mainly I love the hide and slide function!

Thank you Bluegrass. Can I ask why you chose the full steam over the Variosteam please?

I wanted to be healthy and steam my vegetables which you can do with the full steam as it is only steam cooking whereas the vario is mixed method of cooking. The full steam one also has the vario option included so you then have both options in one anyway.
