Has this been fitted correctly?

Hi, I could really do with some advice please...

About 6 weeks ago we had a stove fitted which included a cladding chamber and a fake chimney breast fitted. At the time we weren’t living at the house and we had to pay on the day of completion. We’ve since had the room professionally painted, a new carpet fitted and have moved in. All good!

However, now we are in the house and have had chance to really look at the fireplace, we’ve noticed an issue with the cladding...but I’m not sure if it’s supposed to look like it does! Above the stove the cladding doesn’t seem to sit as well as it does in the rest of the fireplace and there are gaps between the ‘stones’ which makes it look wonky in places - with some ‘stones’ not being parallel. I don’t know if I’m being overly fussy with it but this stove cost A LOT of money and I’d hate to think we had paid for poor workmanship. I will attach a couple of pics and I’d love it you people can tell me if you think I’m being slightly finicky! Or should get back to the stove company...?

My biggest criticism of the brickwork is that there are several places where the vertical gaps are in line rather than staggered. There is one place where three vertical edges are stacked on top of each other

I would expect staggered joins not these

I agree with pp's. It would wind me up constantly and I would get back to the company. Even if I were attempting to bodge it myself I'd make sure they were staggered so I wouldn't expect to have paid for it to be like that.

Not been fitted correct i think
These splitface tiles interlink (z tiles) into each other and the gaps although you can leave a little here and there to create an effect and looks nice, yours seem to have huge gaps.
Attached is a pic of my water feature i did myself, different colour tiles, can always see joins as no grout but yours are large

Ah. Thanks ladies. It is bugging me so I will mention it to them. They also didn’t do a good job on the plastering which is another minus point. I’m just cross that they demand payment on the day but these things take a day or two to notice...especially as we weren’t living in the house. I’m not too sure what can be done as it would require dismantling the whole thing but definitely disappointed with the outcome. :-(
