I need to ask about living in bishop stortford. I have a couple of houses to view over the weekend. We will be renting for now. I will be working in ware and I have 3 kids (14, 11 and 5). Are there any areas in bishop stortford one should avoid?? I would appreciate all the informationSmile

Hi, we lived in Stortford for 10 years. We were in the Thorley Park area and briefly on St Michaels Mead. The most expensive part is the NW of the town around Stortford College but there really arent any parts that are to be avoided. All the schools are good, primary and secondary but are likely to be over subscribed. Its a growing town with huge amounts of building going on and I think the infra structure is going to be put under strain.
However we were happy there and felt that our kids were able to walk the streets safely.

Thank you for the information. I actually had concerns about school spaces for my kids but will see how it goes. I am also looking at st Albans but it appears to be abit more expensive
