Internet when moving

I am moving this week and have tried to get my Post Office landline and broadband moved to my new house. They have said it takes 2 weeks from the actual date of moving for it to be connected atcthe new property.
Can anyone recommend an alternative provider who would be able to connect me on my moving day who is competitively priced as I am thinking of leaving the Post Office now?

When moved and couldn't get my broadband set up straight away I bought a mifi dongle from Three - you can use it to tether several devices at once, and can either run it on a contract or via pay as you go. It took the stress out of waiting for the connection to be set up, and worked very well.

We've just moved and Sky are also connecting us two weeks after our completion date. Apparently it's not to do with the provider but the availability of the OpenReach engineers who do the actual connecting.

When we've moved DH has always arranged for the internet and Sky to be connected in the day we move in so it is possible.. but like someone said I suppose it is dependent on engineers.
Bet if you said you were going elsewhere an engineer would materialise x

We waited almost a month for internet thanks to multiple failures from ISP and openreach!

Now TV is very reasonable. We got it installed the day we moved it.

Whatever you do don’t go with nowtv
We spent 8 weeks waiting for them to sort it, and they never did. Sky managed within a week in the end.
