Moving check list

We are moving next week and I am feeling anxious about all we need to arrange regarding utilities etc - could anyone advise me about how it works getting your gas and electricity and internet etc cut off as I know we will need it right up until the day we move. Also how do I arrange to make sure I will have the gas and electricity on at the new house ready for the day I move in (that property is empty at present so I am guessing everything has been stopped)?

Just ring your suppliers and talk it through with them. They do this stuff every day and they will take you through the process including possibly transferring your accounts to new address.
Don’t delay, do it today, or at least tomorrow, sooner you start the sooner it’s done.
