Part exchange current property for new build?

A large well known house building Company. We have been assured they pay full selling price not like other Companies Hmm Are there any pitfalls to watch out for? Our current propert is mid-century, an unusual layout, and we think it may take some time to sell (it had been on the market a while before we bought it). For various reasons we have decided (against everything I always did not want) on a new build and this seems a very (or too) easy option. Has anyone had any experience of it?

We exchanged our home for a new build and it went really well. They offered us more than the independent valuation we'd had and it took the stress out of waiting on buyers and a chain etc. I'd always get an independent valuation done though, just to be sure you get a fair amount for it
