UPVC windows cost

Hi, just wondering about a couple of quotes I have had really, and how realistic they are. I need to have 2 windows replaced asap and have had 3 quotes. The windows are 1200x1200, and 1200x 1800cms. First quote was £1200 for two 'A' rated windows which I feel is to expensive. Second quote was for only £815, but were 'C' rated windows. Third quote was for £1020 for 'A' rated windows.
Does anyone know what the rough prices are just lately for supply and fit UPVC windows? Both windows would have 2 openings.

I'm not to bothered about the windows having only a 'C' rating, but I'm concerned that £815 seems a little cheap, and I want a good job doing! Thanks

I'm currently getting quotes in London and 1200 for two flat windows seems about what I'm getting quoted. My challenge is a bay window which adds a lot of additional cost.

I didn't know you could buy c rated windows. I thought the first 2 seemed expensive to me , though we seem to be in cheap part of the world for trades. Cost of the windows is probably £350 to the window company. Add in half a day to swap the windows should give you an idea for pricing.

Where are you?

Currently getting new windows, they are very good spec with a couple of things I might not have “needed” as such but wanted (ie 1.2w/m2/k rather than the 1.6 value required for new builds these days). My main focus overall was on security so these windows are far superior to anything you might find in B&Q or similar (where I could have got a window for about £300/400). They are also priced to come with oak sills and upvc surrounds and obviously include fitting and removal of old windows. Mine is a 2day job.

See similar sized window quotes below. Alas, they were competitively priced as they were put out to tender by Windows advice so all companies know they bid against each other. That reduced my quotes by about 50% compared to ones I got beforehand by myself.

Actually, just had a look. An A+ rating has a U value of 1.3 so 1.2 in my quote is even better...
