About to embark on 'forever home' renovation. I've read the fantastic kitchen 'lessons learned' threads and made notes, I've started to think about what kind of storage our family of 5 really need, but now I'm shifting focus to what kind of electrical/electronic/entertainment/comfort we can build in.

It’s tricky to future proof as everything changes the minute you’ve installed it! We had cat 5’s put in but now it’s cat 6’s.

I have no idea even what cat 5 and 6 actually mean. Must swot up.
