So how much is a quartz worktop?

We’re planning a kitchen project which involves quite a bit of building with lots of options on how to do things. The thing I’m struggling with is the actual kitchen and the differences in cost, which might affect how we do things earlier in the project eg. underfloor heating.

So, what’s a ballpark figure for a midrange granite or quartz? We’d be having a run of about 3m with a sink cut out, then two 60cm pieces either side of a range cooker. We may buy a separate, freestanding island or we might have a built in island which would obviously also need a worktop (again, comparative costs are relevant).

Examples of costs gratefully received!

I had something similar, 20mm deep quartz, with upstand. Roughly a 3m run, with a 60cm (ish) lefthand turn, sink cut out and another 60 cm into the corner (overall an L-shaped piece). Cost £2230.

However, my kitchen was a hand-built one, so all different suppliers paid separately. If you go to a good kitchen company you may be able to get it cheaper than we did!

Thanks BIWI. Was that via your kitchen supplier or did you source it separately?
