Hope this is in the right place apologies if not.

In the process of buying our first house. It's a chain of three. We were supposed to exchange on the 18th and complete on 25th (offer was accepted beginning of July so waited a long time) both exchange and completion have not happened because of sellers mortgage conditions on their related purchase have not come back from the underwriter yet. Why it has got to exchange date for them to realise this I don't know.

Anyway we are chasing EA and our solicitor daily and nothing seems to be moving! Is this normal and I'm just getting anxious because we have never done it before? What are our options here ?(we don't want to pull out)

Thank you - I hope that makes sense!

It can be ridiculous. Our current house took 6 months.

Just keep checking in with solicitors and estate agents every day or so. Make sure people know that you are keen to get going.
It sounds like it could be completely fine. Just depends if your seller can afford their next mortgage. Fingers crossed.
