Best Economical Electric Radiators?

We are moving into a village property where there is only electricity. We want to upgrade the electric heaters as they are very old and weve been told there are newer modern heaters are more economical and have better heat output. I'd dearly like to keep the electric bill down as much as possible, but also really want to keep the house warm. Does anyone have any experience or advice to offer?

All electric heaters are equally efficient, whetether they cost £15 from Argos of £500 from www.RipOffThe4Suckers.com
However the expensive ones may give you an extra warm glow of satisfaction.

They all turn 1kW of electricity into 1Kw of heat.

German design, Italian aluminium or Swedish paint don't change that. If you want a timer, you can have one. If you want a thermostat, you can have one. Efficiency remains the same. They will use less electricity if you turn then on less often.

"weve been told there are newer modern heaters are more economical and have better heat output." Who by?
