What heat output do you require and are you in a DEFRA area?

I wanted a 5kw, that needed to be DEFRA approved, so went with the Parkray Aspect 4

I found the majority of modern looking double burners were 10KW+ due to their larger overall dimensions.

The Aspect 4 is a great burner. There are also additional handle and glass options when ordering.

I went from a 6kw to 22kw burner as it's connected to our rads and does our heating. Significant difference (obviously). I'd say go for the higher end of what you need.

Millstone - ironically enough, I was looking at an Aspect 4 or a Firebelly 2. I need around 6-8kw output.

We have an Aspect 5 slimline as our fireplace was difficult to fit because there wasn’t much depth. It looks like a full size stove. It’s 4.9 kw so no airbrick required and it is fantastic. Lots of control and the heat output is amazing. We keep it on a very low setting and it warms the living room 7m x 4m very quickly. You also notice that the rest of the house is noticeably warmer to. I loved the look of the double sided but we didn’t want to go to the trouble of creating another fireplace. No problems in commending the Parkray as a brand.

My brother had a Firebelly FB1 but much prefers the Aspect 5 he's got now.

Also, the calculators said I need a >7kw burner ... but my installer recommended a 5kw and he was right. It'd be far too hot and burn more wood.

Here's my double sided Aspect 4.

Millstone Great photo thanks. What's the width of your fire opening as I'm worried it may look lost in mine. Thanks

Thanks everyone for posting and thanks both for photos.

Width 86cm x height 135cm.

The stove is width 41cm x height 53. Mine is the "single depth" model (40cm deep).

There is a "double depth" version available. Though it's not double -- it's 54cm deep. That has an 11kw> output.
