Hello and thank you for letting me in!! Looking for advice please! Our kitchen appears to have a cold spot above to the right of closed window. Few days ago in the morning the kitchen was ceiling was amass with large condensation droplets and wet patches above door and to right of window. Plumber came as I had noticed a strong smell in kitchen too. Transpires the hot water pipe under floor in hall to combi boiler in kitchen had a pinprick hole which was repaired but this morning one condensation drop and very small wet patch above to right of window appeared despite heating on full. That corner of ceiling is cold to touch but rest warm! Any ideas please? Thank you

how long ago was the leak repaired?

it will take time for the fabric to dry out.

a ceiling can dry in a week or two (longer if it has been overboarded and water is lying on top of the plasterboard)

a brick wall can take a year, if sodden.

If you can see a particular wet patch, push a skewer or something through it and put a bucket underneath. See if water drains out, and if, in time, it stops (leak fixed), or if it continues for ever (leak still present).

Repairing a skewer hole with a dab of filler and paint is a trivial job.

photos will help, especially of the outside wall near the wet patch, especially any gutters, downpipes, drains and windowframes above or near.

Hello
On Monday afternoon. We have come across an open exterior wall vent which we didn’t know was there. That’s the area where the cold ceiling is. I will take pics tomorrow as all clear just now. Thank you for advice!
