Does anyone have LPG gas central heating? If so, how much does it cost to run? We have just moved into a very old 1800s detached 2 bedroom house with LPG heating (big tank in garden). The roof is insulated to a degree, but it is old slate and lath (no membrane) so it is very cold and windy up in the loft. The insulation doesn't fit down into the eaves/slope part of the roof, so the bedrooms always feel cold. We have no cavity walls - only very thick old solid stone walls. We changed all the radiators when we moved in and had the boiler serviced. I'm just wondering if we have made a big mistake buying this house as everyone is telling us that LPG heating is incredibly expensive. We live on a very tight budget! I wish we'd done our research before buying, but we loved the house! Just curious how much others spend on LPG. Thanks!
