Shower/ Pipework Help!

Just bought a replacement thermostatic bar shower mixer valve. It has a top outlet as we have a fixed riser already in place, with rainfall head. It came with adapters so the 3/4" pipes could be fitted to the 1/2" size water inlets on the shower mixer. I have since realised the top outlet is also 1/2", and our riser is 3/4". I can see I can buy an adapter to get round this, but my question is... will altering these pipes reduce the flow/pressure even slightly? If so I'll just return this valve and get a different one, but if it won't make any difference it's less hassle to keep and adapt!

Many thanks if anyone can enlighten me!

Doubt it will make a noticeable difference, as most of the pressure difference will be in the shower head and the valve, not the pipework.
