Double bed that divides into twins

Looking to buy one of these for a spare room. So need a base and mattress that separates into two separate beds with relative ease. Google is not helpful ! Many hotels seem to have these so it can't be that hard?!??

2 identical single beds?

They're called zip link beds

Two identical diva singles or small singles, then you could get a good quality mattress topper to make it into one big bed.

It won't be double bed size - small singles will give you a 5' king size and singles would make a 6' super king.

I think there's a brand called Zip N Link that do them too.

Probably not what you want, but there's an Ikea bed which is two twins that stack. When you place them side by side they make a low double. I notice a few AirBnB landlords are using them. Wood frames that can be painted or stained.

Thanks all! Worried two singles will push apart in night?

If you google zip link beds loads come up.
A friend has this in her spare room which I've stayed on a few times both as a single and as a double, very comfy:
