Kettering - What's it like?

We are a young family of four looking to move outside of London and Kettering has come up as the commute to London seems simple enough.
We are hoping to go and have a look around the area this weekend, and I wondered if anyone could give advice on some of the nicer parts or surrounding villages we could visit?

Wicksteed Park is a good family attraction to visit!x

Surrounding villages are certainly nicer to live in that the town itself - check out Geddington, Broughton, Mawsley (although that’s pretty much all newish builds) for a real range of properties.

How much are you looking to spend and do you need schooling?

I would say 250k is around what we are looking to spend, and yes defo good primary schools.
