Hi lovely people. I've come across a 3-bed house that needs a fair bit of work and I'm wondering if £25k would cover the basics. The house needs : a full rewire, new bathroom and new downstairs loo, replastering, repainting, new flooring (preferably engineered wood), new porch, new front door and garage door. Kitchen isn't great either but could wait a few months. What's a realistic ballpark figure for the above?

Are you DIYing and just need to buy the materials? Then yes. If you're looking to pay for labour too, then I'd budget 50k.

depends, new porch would be quite pricey & does the new kitchen need new appliances? if so how many? etc etc

I would be thinking £25K would only just about cover the bathroom & kitchen if not going top spec

The £25k would exclude the kitchen. I'd leave it until next summer. But the other things would need to be done now.

£25k sounds an optimistic aim, unless you're planning on doing almost all the work yourself.

Full internal refurb on a 3 bed... cant see you getting change out of 50k... unless you are getting all labour for free 25k no chance sorry

Thank you for your honest opinions. That's what I suspected.
