Estate agent lying

I have become increasingly concerned about my estate agents lies.
He told me twice that my buyers have had their mortgage loan approved when in fact they still haven't many months on. We've had three exchange of contracts dates which were obvious rubbish as they didn't have their loan.
When pressed as to why he told me these things he said I thought you'd get upset.
Er ....yes. I'm upset now all right. I have a lot of money ridiculous g on this sale. I've moved three hundred miles away and I hired a supposed professional who I expected to keep me fully informed about the sale of my house.

The
The third blatant lie occurred yesteray. My solicitorson confirmed he is talking through his arse.
Is this an ombudsman matter do you think?

If it’s a national chain then I’d start with a complaint to head office first.

I have no advice but that is shocking! They are being paid to work for you!! You must be furious.

All estate agents lie imo but complain if he isn’t doing job properly

The ombudsman won't get involved unless you've been through the agent's own complaints procedure.

Speak to the manager of the branch in the first instance.
